Spiritual awakening could be defined as going through a process of remembering and waking up to who we actually are. Every day we are striving to break through the illusion and adopt a mindset whereby we are awake and aware of our newfound consciousness. With the chaos of external and internal distractions, we can easily lose ourselves and slip into unconscious thought patterns. The more we remind ourselves of our divinity, the more we can live in our true power here on earth and we can continue to shift our awareness at a faster pace.

How can you adopt more self-mastery and general awareness into your everyday life? I read the list below every morning and it helps me to break down old belief systems that no longer serve me and replaces them with a more fifth dimensional way of thinking. This list works for me based on my journey, all of our journeys are unique so please take what you resonate with and create your own list based on your own experience.

1. You are an immortal spiritual being having a temporary human experience.

We are wearing a suit that allows us to navigate through a third-dimensional physical experience. When we remind ourselves of this fundamental statement on a daily basis, we are able to detach from dramas as they occur in our reality and understand that we came here to experience life and not let emotions and experiences consume us. Instead, we can see that they are temporarily part of the journey and serve our expansion.

2. Become aware of your higher self and learn to hear its guidance.

We have projected only a spark of our true light into our current form and we are always accompanied by the all-knowing part of us that exists in higher dimensions. Our higher self is our intuition in life, it’s knows what’s best for us and if we can acknowledge its presence within us throughout the day and when making decisions, then we can really learn how to connect more deeply with it and build trust over time.

3. Be aware of your beliefs

Our beliefs create our reality and the ‘stories’ we tell ourselves are what keep us tied to the reality that we are experiencing. For instance; do you believe that money is hard to get? Do you believe that work has to be something you’re not passionate about? Do you believe that a partner is hard to find? Do you believe that you are a powerful creator? Do you believe that reality is fixed? Particular beliefs we hold will reflect back at us in the experiences that we are having. When we project awareness onto our beliefs, we can change them and our reality changes too.

4. The more you perceive life as a dream, the more dreamlike life will become.

The more we focus on the magical and synchronistic parts of life, the universe will continue to provide us with the same experiences.  We create everything around us and if we begin to perceive our lives as a lucid dream where anything is possible, there is no limit to our potential.

5. Play with energy and visualization throughout the day.

Everything is energy vibrating at different frequencies. If we can adopt this mindset then we can become masters of energy as we begin to learn how to use it to our advantage. Be creative, for example visualizing a purple ultraviolet light around you can help to protect you from harmful energies or you may visualize a conversation with a colleague before the event occurs in order to help things go your way. Once you understand that everything is energy, you can really begin to create your reality in incredible ways.

6. Be present and observe your thoughts, feelings, and emotions.

Depression is in the past and anxiety is in the future, all that really exists is now. When we catch our monkey minds and bring it back to the present, we can find a greater level of peace and we begin to really see the beauty that can be found when we learn to cherish the moment. As we continue our journey with meditation we begin to realize that it can be incorporated into every moment and we increase our awareness at all times by observing ourselves and creating space for greater self-mastery.

7. Put your WOW goggles on.

We are often times distracted by our busy minds and lives that we miss the beauty inherent in the things around us. A pure sort of happiness can be found by really seeing the beauty in the things around us like the perfection of the geometry within the flowers or the graceful glide of the bird through the mountains. When we put our ‘wow’ goggles on, we appreciate life’s simplicities and experience everything for the first time, creating a child-like wonder once again.

8. Feel your emotions.

We may have the tendency to bypass emotions with positive thinking and other distractions.  Training your brain to think positively is going to transform your life but we must be honest with ourselves and allow emotion to be felt and released as to avoid creating trauma. Take your focus into the inner energy field of the body and repeat the affirmation ‘I am completely here with you now’.  Though difficult, the benefits of this are incredible and it can be done for both negative and positive emotions.

9. Practice affirmations.

Affirmations are a powerful manifestation tool and we can practice them in our minds throughout the day. Repeating a phrase over and over in your mind when in everyday circumstances can incorporate a heightened level of awareness into daily life whilst simultaneously bringing your dreams into reality. Be sure to speak in the present tense using phrases like ‘I AM’ and try to be present with what you are repeating in your mind.

10. Live intentionally.

As we progress on our spiritual paths we find that particular themes come up at particular times. If we focus on these themes and really ride the enthusiasm of them then we can really transform our lives. One way to connect deeply with a particular theme and receive all the guidance and help from the universe as clearly as possible is to put in intention. Intention to heal, intention to manifest, intention to learn, etc… the universe and our guidance are listening and we will begin to see and feel the guidance put in place for us, never underestimate the power of intention. Setting intentions in the morning and before we go to bed at night means we carry it through our daily lives and magic will happen fast.

11. Adopt an attitude of curiosity, what will happen next?

Instead of letting the dramas in our lives consume us, we can take a step back, observe and detach. We can then direct our thoughts towards an attitude of curiosity, leaving worry behind and instead we open ourselves up to magnificence. On this path, anything can happen and magic can unfold right in front of our eyes as new and exciting opportunities and people come into our lives at any time.

12. Love yourself by catching your inner critic.

Self-love is a theme that can continuously crop up in our lives and it can take a lot of work and personal transformation to get to a point where we can truly say that we love ourselves. We can start by realizing when we are allowing our inner critic to run wild throughout the day. Remember that your thoughts, feeling, and emotions are completely valid; you are allowed to feel and react in the way that you do. Step away from judging yourself and instead honor yourself, you are doing brilliantly.

13. Knowledge starts when you say ‘I don’t know’.

Part of this path is being open to new concepts and redesigning your life based on concepts that you resonate with. Constantly be aware of your belief systems and be open to and respect others opinions. We are always unraveling the mystery and we can come up against roadblocks when we limit our capacity to learn and seek more awareness through other people and ourselves.

14. Observe yourself and project awareness into the choices you make throughout the day.

In order to really understand who we are, we must be honest with ourselves and really look for the root cause of why we make the choices we make. For example, when you spend time applying make up in the morning ask yourself, are you doing it because you enjoy it or are you doing it out of deep-seated insecurities? Another example could be asking yourself ‘What am I using this addiction as a crutch for?’. Often projecting consciousness onto a choice is all that we must do, other times it can lead to healing and embracing authenticity.

15. Look for the similarities in everyone and see everyone as a reflection of yourself.

Our outer reality is a reflection of our inner reality; if someone is in our life, they are a vibrational match to us in some way. By remembering this in our daily life we not only present opportunities for self-discovery through encounters with others but we also see ourselves in others. By focusing more on the similarities rather than the differences we create less separation and we can truly connect with the souls around us and watch as more like-minded souls come into our life.

16. Adopt an attitude of gratitude.

Gratitude holds one of the highest vibrational frequencies and when we take time to direct our thoughts at the things in life that we are grateful for, we feel happier and more compassionate for others. When we really begin to tune into this feeling throughout the day, we become a magnet for greatness and we attract more and more reasons to be grateful.

17. Create a balance between surrender and discipline.

The time-space reality that we live in is governed by the law of rhythm, we will always face ups and downs in life. We can, however, learn to ride the waves gracefully and prevent resisting the flow of the current by surrendering to what is. On the other hand, we must take control of our lives in certain areas in order to successfully achieve our dreams and create the best version of ourselves. Over time it becomes apparent to us when is best to surrender and when to exercise discipline, creating a healthy balance between the two.

18. Trust the universe and remember it loves you.

We are occasionally left feeling hopeless and distrusting on our path, especially when we are stricken with emotional turmoil. It may help us to see the light at the end of the tunnel if we sit back and trust that there is a divine order at work and everything is happening for our greater good, although it may not seem like it at the time! Importantly we must remember that the universe loves us and we can trust that everything is happening exactly as it is supposed to be happening. As time passes we will later be able to observe why an event occurred and how it helped us to become the person we are today.

19. We are all one.

As the planet shifts into higher frequencies, we are remembering our connection with everything in existence. We can really begin to integrate oneness into our daily lives by seeing ourselves in everyone and everything around us. Understanding the concept of oneness incorporates greater empathy and unconditional love into our daily lives as we strive to help the planet, each other and ourselves. As separation slips away and we feel a connectedness we want to show compassion and by helping one person, we help the masses.

20. Don’t take life too seriously!

We often get swept away by the seriousness of the ego but in reality, we came here to live. By projecting laughter and lightheartedness into your spiritual practice, you shower it with fun and joy. We are here to raise the vibration of the planet with light and love and the world can be a playground if we want it to be. By not taking life too seriously, our journey becomes more enjoyable and we ultimately become happier.

I created the list above based on what I want to remember on a daily basis, I read it when I wake up and when I go to sleep, it helps me to feel more connected and conscious throughout the day. I encourage you to create your own list or add anything to mine.

Integrating these concepts into our daily lives is, of course, easier said than done. Over time we can really begin to live in accordance with them and build faith but first, we must break down the conditioning and belief systems that are holding us back. Just as it takes us time to learn anything, we must practice and allow our new found consciousness to flourish naturally.

So be patient and don’t be hard on yourself, your intention to adopt a new way of seeing the world is enough. You also cannot unlearn what you have learned, although we may find ourselves occasionally forgetting and falling back into the illusion, our spiritual principles are always with us. So sit back and enjoy the journey of consciousness expansion, the more we expand our awareness, the more we raise our vibration and we become a beacon of light for the generations to follow.

With Gratitude 🙂
