I have spent the past 7 months throwing myself into the alluring chaos of India. She is a country where mysticism floats like the smoke in the air, mysterious history oozes from the cracks in the temples and the layers of spirituality are thick and heavy much like the emotional uprises that are inevitable here. Like a child, I have kicked and screamed restlessly in mother India’s arms as she held me tightly and soothed me, now with fresh eyes I have awoken to a love like no other.

It seems as though India provides the perfect energetic environment for enlightenment and for thousands of years, souls have incarnated into the mystical land with every intention of living an awakened life. These awakened beings bring with them gifts of wisdom from beyond the veil of forgetfulness, dropping seeds of hope for humanities future. Now that the mass awakening is upon us, their teachings are growing faster than ever. Stories and practices from both the ancient and modern gurus, yogis and swamis are being brought to the west, infiltrating the out-dated belief systems that keep the people of society enslaved within their own minds.

For me, one of the most beautiful aspects of India is that many of the people that live here identify with their souls rather than their minds, that is to say, they identify as something other than their physical form and egos. Within this awareness, we are one step closer to love beyond the limited human ego’s perspective of separation. You may go to India and find yourself in the presence of a realised being, us new age spiritual folk may term this as a higher dimensional being, a soul that is existing permanently within higher dimensions. Upon sharing space with these beings, you may feel an indescribable love, a love that differs from the love that you received from your mother or your partner, a love that pierces through your outer shell and enters your spirit, a love that is impersonal and unconditional, a love that connects you to all that is.

Spiritual Awakening

When we undergo spiritual awakening, we enter a process of remembering and when playing around in our new perspective, our astonishment for existence awakens a deep love for our mother earth and father universe. Our new consciousness peers into not only the miraculous nature of our outer world but our inner world too and we gradually begin to identify as multidimensional spiritual beings living a temporary human experience.

Along our journey, we gradually begin to identify with our souls and less with our physical bodies and physical lives. We undergo a transformation of the ‘self’ and within our emerging soul perspective, we see ourselves as we do beyond the dimension of form. Since humanity still resides within a third dimensional experience, duality remains a reality during this time. Living within a paradigm of duality, we wander through our daily lives, faced with a multitude of happenings all of which can be placed within two categories; love or fear.

Upon dropping our consciousness into a third dimensional reality, we were hit with duality immediately within fear-based emotions. Fear and separation became interwoven within the fabric of our lives as we began to identify with our ego’s sense of ‘self’. Now that we begin to identify with our soul’s journey, we come to remember within the depths of our being that we come from a much lighter existence, one where light permeates existence and where all beings love one another infinitely. In this place of transcendental love, there is a knowing of our true divinity and therefore oneness with all that is. Identification with the ego brings with it fear-based emotions and the illusion of separation. Identification with the soul brings with it love-based emotions and a sense of connection to all that is.

Whenever humanity is asked for their identity, they point to their hearts rather than their minds. Upon soul perspective, we begin to move from our minds to our hearts because our mind is what tells us the stories of separation and our hearts are what fill us with feelings of oneness. With divine trust, we open our arms to reveal our hearts at the centre of our being and we let it guide us; our spiritual journey now becomes the path of the heart as we return back to our natural state of being.

Emotional Love

Now that we have wrapped our minds (or should I say hearts) around identification with the ego and identification with the soul, we may conceptualise the difference between emotional love and soul love.

Emotional love is all we knew before awakening, a background emotion that we spent our whole lives perplexed by, it was the closest thing we had to magic. We could find the deepest emotional love within the gaze of our devoted mothers or within the embrace of our most passionate lovers. An emotion that set alight the formless realms within the imagination of the greatest artists as they translated it through creativity, bringing it into form. It is no wonder that we all want to experience emotional love, it is distinctly otherworldly and yet what if I told you there was an even higher love, a love that transcends the deepest love that you ever experienced?

Emotional love still exists within the physical third dimensional paradigm of existence and therefore duality is inherent within it. Since we were born into our new world we were conditioned to think that love was dependent upon our behaviour and through countless experiences whilst growing up, it was built into our human mind that this is the way love works. As a result, many of our relationships are based on this emotional love that seemingly requires an exchange. We expect emotional gratification for our love and we develop a dependence on it being reflected back at us in some way. We were similarly conditioned to believe that everybody needs this emotional love and the more we receive it, the happier we will be. Ultimately we were told that love is found outside of ourselves and as a result, we develop a need for more and more love, we feel deprived if we are lacking it in our life according to societies standards and we develop fears and anxieties about losing it.

Within a world of duality, fear-based emotions are inevitable bringing a whole new meaning to the phrase ‘there is a thin line between love and hate’. Growing into our conditioned idea of love, we are constantly faced with pain in the name of love. There is nothing ‘wrong’ with emotional love, it is the basis of so much beauty within a dualistic world yet, unfortunately, it is also the basis of much pain. When we view love as an exchange we feel disappointed, jealous, hatred, anger, shame, guilt, depression, anxiety and other fear-based emotions. When we develop a desperate need for love through external gratification, we create unhealthy attachments that are based on a conditioned need for feedback.

When carrying out our inner work on ourselves based on emotional triggers that can be traced back to memories from childhood and onwards, at the root cause of many of these traumas we find a fear of not being loved back. The fact that fear may even be used within the same sentence of love is simply a reflection of our current time-space reality; the third dimension. Emotional love will always be closely tied to fear within this paradigm, they are the two extremes that make up this dimension. Yet underneath all of the layers of social conditioning and fear, as human beings, we are drawn to emotional love and although is may be the basis of so much of our pain throughout our life we still follow it through life perhaps out of a deep longing to return home, to soul love.

Soul Love

We use our ego’s sense of ‘self’ to grow into this dimension and we perceive this reality using our 5 physical senses, as a result, we grow to see ourselves as separate entities. Since we learned to identify with the separation consciousness of the ego it is no wonder that we seek love outside of ourselves, however, there comes a point where we realise that we are seeking the deep spiritual concept of love within the external world of physicality and we begin to look inwards for answers.

Upon spiritual awakening and emerging identification with the soul, when we look inwards for answers we really turn our attention towards the soul. On our path of remembering we recall our soul residing in lighter formless dimensions of existence, a reality that is not governed by a law of duality and where there is no fear, only love. This world of love is accompanied by all of the nectar that is inherent within love itself and amongst the individual soul lies the universal soul, a oneness with all that is.

In soul perspective we begin to feel a connection to all life, we begin to see ourselves as divine beings of light, shimmering as a singular drop within a vast ocean. Our soul loves all energy and consciousness because it understands that it is not separate from it. Fully conceptualising such a world may take us a lifetime, yet tuning into this concept presents us with a feeling that is likely to bring tears to our eyes. Such a feeling may be termed as an initial peek into soul love; a love that is shared by every single being outside of our human experience.

Soul love differs from emotional love because it is not an emotion or ‘energy-in-motion’. Soul love permeates our entire being. It is not dependent on ‘doing’ within a physical dimension, it is a state of ‘being’ within a formless dimension. For this reason, it does not depend on external gratification or exchange, it is purely unconditional in nature. This love does not depend on any ‘thing’, it doesn’t expect love back, it doesn’t need love back and it isn’t personal or directed at anyone or any ‘thing’ in particular, as a result, there is no pain or fear inherent within this love, it just is love. This soul love is infinitely abundant in nature and fundamentally it is found not externally but within the soul of every single one of us.

Approaching love in this manner allows us to plunge straight into the fifth dimension as we begin to transcend dualistic emotions based on an old paradigm of love. We now see past fear-based emotions that are inherent within emotional love. It is now, within soul perspective, that we possess the awareness that we are all divine beings on a journey doing the best we can, and outside of this experience all beings love one another on a soul level. In our new approach to love, we leave unhealthy attachments behind as we truly begin to see ourselves as totally whole and complete by nature, we do not depend on anything outside of ourselves for love. Now as conscious beings of love, we neutralise fear, leaving duality behind as we see past judgment of others and ourselves and replace it with a purified fifth dimensional love for all that is.

If we choose to cultivate soul love into our daily lives, we illuminate from the inside and become a beacon of light within our relationships. We put out impersonal love with no expectation of receiving it back, we do not require reciprocation of love because we ARE love and we hold an infinite amount of it within our very essence. Soul love transcends blood relationships as we wake up to our brothers and sisters everywhere. Importantly, we unconditionally love ourselves, understanding that unconditional love starts from within, only to reflect out into our external world.

As conscious beings on an ascension process, we are rapidly integrating more of our divine light into our physical form and with conscious intention, we may choose to bring in unconditional love from the higher dimensions into this reality through our fourth energy centre (the heart chakra). As more of this state of being infiltrates our consciousness, we bring the ecstasy of the higher dimensions into the earthly planes of existence and through heightened levels of compassion for one another, we hold hands. It is with glowing hearts, that we march towards the golden age.

Being Soul Love from Within

This universe is governed by the law of correspondence; our outer universe is a giant mirror and therefore a reflection of what is going on inside of us. Energy begins within the spiritual dimensions and then manifests later into the physical, everything in our outer world began as a thought. For this reason, we must begin our path of soul love with learning to love ourselves.

When embarking on a spiritual journey, we inadvertently find ourselves on a path of self-love as we boldly follow our inner guidance, otherwise known as the divine director or our higher self. Our divine director holds our hand and guides us into a life that is in alignment with our deepest heartfelt desires because it is the part of us that resides within the higher dimensions of soul love. As a result, we bathe ourselves in soul love; we manifest our dreams, we let go of things that no longer serve us and we heal our wounds from the past. With every step we take, we integrate our fears that once held us back and we move closer to our true self and our true self is soul love.

One of the greatest acts of self-love that we can do for ourselves on this journey is to find stillness within the mind. The mind is what keeps us tied to the energies of the old paradigm, as long as we identify with the mind, we will continue to identify with fear, control and separation. Within meditation and learning to observe the mind we no longer believe the inner critical voices in our head, because we come to realise that they are not who we are. We choose to detach from the voices that cause us to judge ourselves and we tune in to the loving whispers of our higher self. Becoming the master of our mind graces us with a level of freedom that truly is our birthright. The stillness that is found within the present moment opens up gaps in the mind and within this formless state of ‘being’ is where soul love integrates into our earthly lives.

Within the soul love perspective, we see past judgments of the self and instead choose to love every single aspect of our self. We now transform self-love into self-soul love as we allow ourselves to just be love.

‘Love is a state of being. Your love is not outside, it is deep within you’ –Eckart Tolle

Healing Others with Soul Love

By allowing our soul love to emerge within our consciousness, we begin to reflect golden rays of divine light outwards into our outer worlds. In the initials stages of being in soul love, we may allow its energies to transform our perspective of everything around us. In order to truly heal others, we must change our perspective of others and see them for what they truly are: divine spiritual beings of pure unconditional love, living an earthly experience. They are not separate from us, they come from the same ocean of love as us, to judge them is to judge ourselves. Therefore we leave judgment behind in the fifth dimension and welcome soul love for all that is.

As controversial as soul love may be within a third dimensional society, we must learn to love everybody, especially those that cause us harm as they may well need it the most and by judging them we only add to their fear. In the fifth dimensional love, we see through the eyes of the soul rather than the ego, with our divine perspective we observe all souls as beings of love, bringing compassion into our interactions with them. Altering our perception of the souls around us is crucial when intending to heal others from a place of soul love because our outer world is nothing more than a reflection of our perception within our inner world. When healing with soul love, we change our perception of people and we shift into a reality where they embody the divine soul that we know them to be.

A powerful healing exercise that reaches to the root of how reality works by changing our perspective of others in order to heal them, is the Hawaiian technique of Ho’oponopono. We may use this modality to heal an aspect of our self or we may use it to heal a particular relationship in our outside world. Alternatively, we may choose to heal our overall perception of our self or humanity in general. Whatever clear intention we set, powerful changes will occur; this healing practice has been found to have powerful effects within the Hawaiian culture for many years. We can repeat these words out loud or in our mind during meditation or whilst moving through our daily lives.

I am sorry– Taking ownership for creating the world that is outside of us with the judgements that we hold within us.

Please forgive me – Forgiveness is at the basis of all healing, we ask for forgiveness for our judgement of others.

Thankyou – Implying it is done whilst also displaying gratitude.

I love you – Introducing the energy of the universe and declaring our soul love.

Bringing soul love into our consciousness, we gradually let go of our judgments of humanity and replace them with divine love. Now, a blazing sun within us radiates outwards and we gradually transform into physical embodiments of the purest form of love. We heal others as they feel the unconditional love that permeates us, they do not feel judged and they do not fear losing this love, they simply enjoy being in the safe energy that we provide. As we gradually bring in soul love we are able to heal those around us with nothing more than our presence or ‘being’.

I AM Loving Awareness

Soul love is oneness, when we feel oneness we see no ‘other’ and our fear-based emotions born out of an illusion of separation dissolve. We see past egoic tendencies because beneath all of the labels, everyone is a divine soul within a sea of souls. The more energy we direct towards contemplating oneness, the less power we give to our ego and the more we give to our soul. Oneness is integrated with an absence of the mind and for this reason soul love is found within the depths of the moment where the mind is absent and we are left to bask in the stillness of pure awareness. Awareness found within the now moment will bring more of this higher love into our third dimensional reality.

Ram Das, a beloved spiritual teacher, presents us with a mantra that when used repeatedly within a place of presence; shifts us away from the separation consciousness of the ego towards the unity consciousness of the soul. ‘I AM Loving Awareness’, is an incredibly powerful affirmation that enables us to manifest soul love using our divine power as a conscious creator of our reality. When we repeat these words in our mind or out loud, we observe our thoughts and project love onto anything that touches our awareness externally or internally, we simply decide to love everything. This mantra is a tool that will bring conscious love into our awareness, gradually eroding away old emotional habits and leaving us to rest gently in soul love more frequently. This life changing affirmation allows us to learn to love like we do outside of this dimension.

Final Words

Love is the energy of the universe; it is what we emanate from and it is where we will return. Humanities transition into higher levels of consciousness brings with it fifth dimensional concepts of love and what a blessing it is to remember our unity and return home to divine love whilst remaining in physical form. With pure intentions, we gracefully make our journey from our heads back to our hearts knowing that home truly is where the heart is.

Love within the third dimension is to take something as part of our self, we accept that person and bring them into our energy field as part of us, if externally we lose that love, we feel the deepest pain of heartbreak because a part of us is lost and we tenderly begin to put ourselves back together. Love within the fifth dimension is to take everyone as part of ourselves by realising that we are not separate from them and we never will be.

Earth as a family now unites to dwell within soul love, seeing past the dualistic old energies of fear, we love everyone, deeper than they have been loved before. As the mass awakening takes place, the physical world, as we know it naturally becomes a reflection of the new energies of divine love that humanity holds within their physical structures.

The first golden rays of divine love peak over the horizon, dawn approaches humanities consciousness and compassion fills the air. As the sun casts out the darkness of the night, we settle within the clarity of soul love to recognise that there is no darkness, only an absence of light and we are that light.

With gratitude,
